What our alumni say

The Master’s has taught me to see the restaurant business as a whole; from creating a concept to its economic viability or people management. I have learned to analyze, structure and communicate ideas clearly and to make my decisions with a long-term vision. The most valuable part has been doing it in an environment like Basque Culinary Center. A place where passion is in the air, learning is practical, up to date and connected with the reality of the sector. Where every class, lecturer and classmate challenges you and inspires you to go a little further.

Alba Gil Vara

Alumni

Studying the Master’s allowed me to discover the value of combining my Peruvian roots with Basque culture. Together with Germán Berrocal, we created Artean, an intimate space where the open bar connects chefs directly with diners, offering a close and personal experience. Our focus is on freshness, authenticity and adapting to each season and local product. For me, the greatest learning has been the importance of inner work, support and the value of the human team in order to move forward.

Analí Paytan

Co-founder of "Artean"

Before taking the Master’s, I felt I needed a more global and up-to-date vision of how to manage and differentiate a restaurant in an increasingly competitive environment. During the program I discovered innovative tools and strategic approaches that helped me question and redesign the operations and business model of my restaurant. Contact with industry professionals and the variety of experiences shared in the classroom allowed me to see new opportunities and anticipate trends. Today, thanks to this Master’s, I have implemented key improvements in my team management, gastronomic offering and customer experience. I now face every challenge with a more creative and efficient perspective, knowing that innovation is essential to stay relevant and grow sustainably.

Andoni Arranz

Head chef and manager "Restaurante Mendizabal"

The Master’s was key to making the leap from technique to strategic vision. It allowed me to understand in depth how to adapt gastronomic proposals to different markets, optimise restaurant management and lead diverse teams. Thanks to the practical training and the support of experts, I have been able to consolidate the Kai Sushi Bar model in San Sebastián, fusing Japanese essence with local product, and ensure a unique experience for both local and international guests. This comprehensive and realistic approach is essential for those of us who seek to innovate and grow in such a competitive and changing sector.

Sebastián Pincheira

Owner "Kai Sushi Bar"

The Master’s has been a turning point in my professional development. I was looking for training that would help me understand management from a strategic and practical vision, beyond traditional operations. The Master’s approach has allowed me to analyze trends, conceptualise projects and apply real tools to improve profitability and efficiency. The internships and contact with industry professionals have been key to connecting theory with the reality of today’s restaurant sector. I now face the sector’s challenges with a broader and more confident perspective, prepared to lead and innovate in any gastronomic context.
